Congress Promises 1 Lakh Jobs and Rs 3000 Monthly Stipend for Women in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu-Kashmir Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced that over 1 lakh government positions are currently unfilled in Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that if Congress forms the government, these vacancies will be addressed as a top priority. Kharge also made 5 significant promises to the people of Kashmir.”

On Wednesday, the Congress–National Conference alliance unveiled 5 major promises for Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at a public meeting in Anantnag, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge pledged that, if elected, their government would provide Rs 3,000 per month to female heads of households. Additionally, women would receive interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh. Kharge criticized the NDA government led by Narendra Modi for allegedly depriving the people of Jammu and Kashmir of their rights and vowed to restore those rights if Congress comes to power.

Mallikarjun Kharge stated, “In the past, people in Jammu and Kashmir received 11 kg of rice, but now only 5 kg is available. This highlights who truly cares about the poor. The Food Security Bill was introduced by the Congress government, underscoring the difference between Congress and BJP. I urge you not to be swayed by mere slogans but to place your trust in those who deliver real work.”

The Congress President announced that over 1 lakh government positions are currently unfilled in Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that, once their government is established, filling these vacancies will be a top priority. Additionally, he noted that many schools have been shut down and promised they will be reopened. The new government, he said, will concentrate on enhancing tourism, manufacturing, job creation, and education.
