Major Political Parties in Kerala are already reorganising themselves after the recent Assembly election. Congress is working to strengthen the new government and its organisation, while the CPI(M) is dealing with the transition from government to opposition.

The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee is also focusing on strengthening grassroots-level party activities and improving coordination between state and district leadership.

The political competition is therefore moving beyond the Assembly and into party organisation at the grassroots level.
